Ĺ panÄ›lsko opravdu miluju, a mám tu všechno, co k Ĺľivotu potĹ™ebuju. NavĂc BerlĂn nenĂ zrovna mÄ›sto, kterĂ© by mi pĹ™irostlo k srdci...
V dubnu tÄ› ÄŤeká vystoupenĂ na americkĂ©m kontinentÄ›, kde je pĹ™eci jen scĂ©na ponÄ›kud odlišná… Máš uĹľ s hranĂm tam nÄ›jakĂ© zkušenosti, nebo se jedná o premiĂ©ru? A jak ty sám vnĂmáš rozdĂl mezi Evropou a Amerikou v tomhle ohledu?
SnaĹľĂm se USA navštĂvit rok co rok, pro mÄ› je to zajimavĂ˝ a krásnĂ˝ stát. NavĂc San Francisko, Toronto a dalšà mĂsta, kde obyÄŤejnÄ› hrávám, jsou velmi podobná tÄ›m evropskĂ˝m. Miluju tahle mÄ›sta, ale pravdou je, Ĺľe Ĺľivot na venkovÄ› je zcela odlišnĂ˝ od toho, co známe tady v EvropÄ›.
Máš ve Ĺ panÄ›lsku svou muziku kde hrát, nebo je to obdobnÄ› jako ve Ĺ vĂ©dsku, kdy tamnĂ producenti techno hrajĂ pĹ™evážnÄ› v jinĂ˝ch evropskĂ˝ch státech neĹľ doma?
Jsem opravdu šťastnĂ˝, Ĺľe Ĺľiju v BarcelonÄ›. NenĂ to tak dlouho, co jsem zaÄŤal hrát jako rezidentnĂ DJ pro Creaductions, coĹľ je profi agentura mladĂ˝ch lidĂ, kteřà pořádajĂ nÄ›jrĹŻznÄ›jšà akce v hlavnĂm mÄ›stÄ›. Jedna z nich se koná v klubu R33, a já tu pravidelnÄ› funguju coby warm-up DJ pro nÄ›jakĂ©ho "cool" hosta, kterĂ˝ po mnÄ› nastoupĂ v hlavnĂm ÄŤase. Program, velikost klubu i ozvuÄŤenĂ mi pĹ™esnÄ› sednou a kaĹľdĂ˝ zde odvádĂ dobrou práci!

Seven Villas je mĂstem, kde jsem se narodil, a jedná se o skupinu vesnic leĹľĂcĂch v provincii Cantabria, tedy v severnĂm Ĺ panÄ›lsku...

Label Seven Villas se vĂc zaměřuje na "deep" tracky do klubĹŻ a AvantRoots vĂc fandĂ experimentĹŻm. MĹŻĹľe to bĂ˝t dub techno, house nebo i zlomenĂ© beaty. NenĂ to tak dlouho, co jsme s Pulshar dokonÄŤili novĂ© EP, kterĂ© vyjde uĹľ brzy právÄ› u AvantRoots. MÄ›jte tedy oÄŤi i uši dokořán!

You´re a proud graduate of Crash Institute and now you´ve become a sound engineer... Do you think that every producer, before making his own music, should have similar experience so that we don´t have to deal with everyday music trash that surrounds us?
A basic music knowledge is necessary, it can be an offical music school, production lessons, or software classes. The art and creativity comes from your soul but you need to know how to work with the instruments/software.
How does a dub techno producer get necessary inspiration for producing? Do you go out at nights into industrial areas or under bridges and enjoy long echoes from falling stones or do you get it in a completely different way?
I get my inspiration from my surrounding, forests, mountains, beaches, the city. Also from videogames and movies.
Do you feel that in 2017 dub techno still has something to say or are you going to get hands-on experience with other styles and end up for example with pop music?
I think my productions will always have a dub tech feeling, I love dub techno but I feel I am getting bored with the music style. I am open for new challenges, pop? Why not!
What´s you typical day like? Do you have your home studio or do have to you go anywhere else where you get many ideas and the space has good influence on you?
I hope one day I can have my studio into the forest, but at the moment I work from my cozy home studio/office in Barcelona.
I like about you that similarly to Bulgarian KiNK you haven´t yield to the trendy temptation of moving to Berlin and you don´t want to leave your home just because you would have more opportunities to perform... Or perhaps not. What is the main reason in your case?
Because I love my country, I have everything I need here, and Berlin is not the kind of city that I like.
In April you´re going to perform in the USA where the scene is a bit different... Is this going to be your first appearance there? And how do you personaly feel the difference between Europe and the USA in this point of view?
I try to visit USA every year, I think it's an interesting and beautiful country. The cities that I am used to play are very similar to Europe: San Francisco, Toronto... I love those cities. But yes, the countryside is very different than Europe.
Are there any venues in Spain where you can present your music or is it similar to Sweden where local techno producers mostly perform in other European countries rather than home?
I am happy to live in Barcelona, recently I started to work as resident DJ for "Creaductions", a professional company of young people that are managing various events in the city. One of their venues is the club R33, where I really like to do the warm up of the "cool" guest DJ. The program, the size of the club, the sound system - they are doing a great work!
Why is your label Seven Villas called Seven Villas?
Seven Villas is the region where I was born, a group of villages situated on Cantabria, north of Spain.
What does it depend on if your music appers at Seven Villas, AvantRoots or if you share your final production with your mate Aphro Sainz aka Pulshar?
Seven Villas is more orientated on "deep club music" and AvantRoots is orientated on "experimental music", it can be dub techno, house or broken beats. We have recently finished a new Pulshar EP that will be out soon on AvantRoots, keep you eyes and ears open!
If you play as Pulshar live how dou you divide your roles on stage so that the result is always so flawless?
I take care of the arrangement and synth parts and Sergio plays some drum parts and voices.
What would you do if you didn´t become full time music producer? What did you want to do for a living when you were 10 years old?
Firstable Air Pilote, then Forest ranger, what a difference eh? At the age of 15, I had it clear, I wanted to work with sound.
My personal hero of dub techno is Brendon Moeller... Who´s yours? Who do you look up to and who would you like to cooperate with in the future?
Maurice Von Oswald, Rod Model and Sensual Physics are my heros, I have collaborated with 2 of them, now is time to Maurice Von Oswald.
Hardware or software? Or preferably the combination of both + live musicians?
The strength of the hardware and the simplicity of the software, that's what I like.
How does Pablo Bolivar relax to get energy for producing future tracks?
Visiting the mountain, the forest, going to an empty beach, playing a good video game, watching and listening a chimney...
